How it Works:
You can enter up to eight or thirty telephone numbers - local or long distance - into your Speed Calling list. This enables you to reach those people by dialing a one or two-digit number.
To program your Speed Calling list:
1. Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.
2. Press *74. (On a rotary telephone, dial 1174.)
3. Listen for a dial tone.
4. Dial a one-digit speed code (choose a number, 2 through 9).
For Speed Calling 30, dial a two-digit speed code (choose from numbers 01-29).
5. Dial the telephone number you wish to assign to that speed code. (For long distance calls, be sure to include 1 plus the area code.)
6. Press the # key. (On a rotary telephone, wait four seconds after dialing.)
7. Listen for the confirmation tone. Hang up.
8. To program additional Speed Calling numbers, follow steps 1-7 again for each position to be programmed.
To call someone on your Speed Calling list:
1. Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.
2. Dial the one or two-digit speed code, then press the # key. (On a rotary telephone, wait four seconds after dialing.)
To change your Speed Calling list:
1. Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.
2. Press *74. (On a rotary telephone, dial 1174.)
3. Listen for the dial tone.
4. Dial the one or two-digit speed code you wish to change.
5. Listen for the cancellation tone, then the dial tone. Follow steps 4-7 above to program your Speed Calling list.
